As the sun gets softer, the colors in the garden seem to get brighter. In my garden, I like to mix the hard edges of low clipped boxwood and cones of arborvitae with soft feathery purple Russian sage and lime green zinnias, plus the height of the standard tardiva hydrangeas. Summer may be over but the garden is far from calling it quits!
