When someone goes to the enormous trouble of throwing a holiday party, I like to show my appreciation by bringing something homemade as a hostess gift. Instead of the usual bottle of wine, I like to make Jam Thumbprint Cookies, Cherry Pistachio Biscotti or French Chocolate Bark, beautifully wrapped in glassine bags and tied up with ribbons. (I buy glassine bags from Cassandra's Kitchen.) Who wouldn't like to receive that?? Happy Holidays everyone!!
